Getting Started
It is very inexpensive to get started with polymer clay. A few basic tools are all that you will need. You may have items in your kitchen items that will work to get you started, but remember not to use them again in your kitchen.
Recommended Tools
- Rolling Pin or Acrylic / PVC Roller
- Tissue Blade
- Scalpel
- Needle Tool
- Pasta Machine
- 2 Disposable Baking Pans 12" x 10",1 1/2" - 2 1/2" Deep
- Ceramic Tile
- Binder Clips
-
Be sure to cover your work area appropriately. If you do not use a glass surface, we recommend wax paper or foil. You can also use metal baking sheet or a smooth ceramic tile. Uncured clay may damage/stain unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. We have created a convenient kit to get started.
